At-the-ready trauma self-help & support strategies...

1-day trauma first-aid clinic on resilience-building & trauma-resistance self-help & support strategies

for managers, supervisors, OHS/HR specialists, peer supporters

and to help yourself or your colleagues handle trauma

……It can happen slowly, or suddenly in seconds but its effects can last much longer! Whether it’s hazardous work, accident, stress-overload or any other number of anxiety-creating events or workplace woes, trauma can...

¡  play havoc with our nervous system and our ability to function effectively

¡  leave us feeling distressed, despondent, disengaged, drained or debilitated

¡  affect how we behave, how we cope at work and our ability to do our jobs

G’day – Bill Cropper here.  Is trauma something that concerns you at work?  It can sneak up on us. And its effects are not always apparent. I sometimes think we don’t take as much notice of it as we should. And if we do, we don’t know all that much about how to help ourselves, or support others touched by trauma at work.

Do you want to do something positive about work-based trauma?

I’m running Resilience-Based Trauma-Training as a public program in Brisbane Nov 1 & Dec 1 – and also Toowoomba Oct 23, Townsville Oct 20, Mackay Oct 25, Hervey Bay Nov 13, Cairns Nov 20 and Rockhampton Nov 22.

•          Learn ways to look after yourself & look-out for your workmates

•          Pick-up valuable first-aid tools, tips & strategies to resist trauma

•          Strengthen your leader role as emotional caretaker and trauma-support

Trauma happens to you on the inside. Resisting it relies on what you can do to help yourself (or others). There's a lot of benefit to be had from working on your own trauma-resistance management strategies – and this clinic revolves around a set of Trauma-Resistance and Resilience-Building tools that can help you to do that.

“Fantastic and very beneficial. Provided information I can use not only in the workplace but also in my personal life....” James K, Construction Supervisor

Trauma reduction and resistance strategies like the ones I cover in this clinic may be needed more and more in future, as our ever-busier workplaces count the cost of stressful work environments, oppressive cultures, toxic teams, over-bearing bosses, disengagement, lack of empathy and support, and strained relationships.

What inspired Resilience-Based Trauma-Training?  It’s had a lot to do with  my involvement over the last 15 years, helping workplaces build emotional intelligence capacities such as self-management, resilience, mindfulness, positivity, connectivity and focus – all sources of trauma resistance self-help and support strategies, as I’ve since found out.

Curious? See the course outline for brochure and registration details.

Resilience-Based Trauma-Training comes with a Leader’s Trauma-Support Guide & ToolkitAnd you also get a chance to purchase copies of our Trauma Self-Help Pocket Guide to use with your staff back at work.

…Oh – and there’s a mates rates special for the Spring series of public clinics too – bring along a 3rd person completely free!  Details included on-line.
